Quiks on dark nails

Hi everyone! Happy to report that Churro is doing better everyday with getting used to a Dremel. However, I'm having trouble telling where his quik is except for when I shine a flashlight on it. But this method is not feasible because I use one hand to hold his paw and Dremel with the other.

Does anyone here have recommendations on how to easily tell the quik on black nails?
